There is also an index of titles, authors and subjects as well as inidices, geographical, historical, and by subject. Daunting scholarship for the precocious young scholar. Most endearing about this volume and others in the series are the illustrations, headpieces, tailpieces and postage stamp size images which appear throughout. Copper plate art colored. Donn P. Crane is a major contributor. Some rubbing to cover illustration. Some rubbing to spine ends, some scratching of cover image (as shown to the left).
