Up One Pair of Stairs. This is the larger volume identical to the original castle-on-spine 1920 version, but printed in 1928 and with a variant print on the endpapers..
COPY 1: Cover illustration is scratched. Binding is faded. Interior is very good. No damage. Inventory # 8528 Price $115
COPY 2: Some scratching to the cover illustration and fasing of spine. One page has been torn out (15-16). Other wise the book is undamaged. There is some browning of the pages. Inventory# 8578 Price $38.00

The Treasure Chest, Volume 4 of 6. This is a 1928 reprint of the 1925 green faux leather edition. There is some damege to the N.C Wyeth cover illustration as seen above . Otherwise the book is undamaged, but with some rubbing to the top of the spine. Inventory# 8585 Price $85.00

In 1928 the publishers of My Bookhouse printed so many versions of the set that it would take a doctoral candidate to sort them out. – as you will discover below. Both the 1920-21 black faux leather six volume set and the 1925 green faux leather six volume set were re-printed.
AND it was in this year that the publishers decided to expand the 6 volume set to 12 volumes, presumably to make it more child-friendly. Each volume was broken into two. "In The Nursery," for example, became "In The Nursery"; and "Story Time." The text and illustrations are essentially the same as in the original edition – perhaps even a little brighter.
