This copy with the top right corner of the folder apparently bent at one time (showing no fatigue, however) Likewise the third of the cardboards not affecting the tipped in plate. Illustrations by Kay Nielsen from Hansel and Gretel and other stories by the brothers Grimm” with three color plates (“Catskin,” “Rosebud,” and “Rumpelstiltskin”) mounted on heavy black stock with captions printed in gold. Plates are from the original run of this extremely rare book.
COPY 1: A previous owner of this portfolio (and one other in our inventory) apparently decided to bind several of them togeter. There are six nicks at the spine where string ties had presumably been placed. Additionally two of the plates have been taped together at the spine. (see image above) There is no damage to the plates or their mounting sheets other than this. Inventory# 7755 Price $500.00
